The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ICT Network Services Technician to join a busy ICT team, supporting the delivery, maintenance, and development of a modern IT infrastructure.

Working closely with the ICT Network Services Manager and wider ICT team, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the organisation's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services. This role provides multi-level technical support, daily systems administration, and first and second-line helpdesk support across hardware, software, and in-house applications. You will also assist with evaluating and deploying new technologies while supporting the rollout of new systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-line IT support for hardware, software and in-house applications.
  • Assist with the day-to-day administration and maintenance of ICT systems.
  • Support the implementation and deployment of new technologies and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Identify and deliver IT training to users across the organisation.
  • Design, develop and maintain the organisation's website and intranet.
  • Ensure effective digital communication and information sharing across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain reliable, secure and efficient ICT services.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • HNC qualification (or equivalent) in an ICT-related discipline.
  • Practical experience supporting hardware, software and basic networking within a Windows environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with website authoring tools.
  • Familiarity with SFTP and internet protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Recruitment Process

  • A 30-minute practical IT aptitude assessment completed in a controlled environment without internet access.
