We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer – Playwright (Python) who will be integral to driving high-level quality assurance across Lovehoney Group. Partnering directly with our Test Manager and cross-functional technology teams, your focus will be on designing and scaling a reliable test automation framework that supports secure, high-quality delivery across our e-commerce platform. In this role, you’ll combine your appreciation for rigorous testing with your expertise in Python automation, gaining experience with AI-enhanced tools and cloud technologies in a fast-paced digital retail environment.

What you will do
  • Design and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright (Python).
  • Develop a scalable suite of automated test cases for core e-commerce user journeys.
  • Embed automation in CI/CD pipelines for secure, efficient deployments.
  • Support cross-browser and mobile testing via tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams and contribute to test strategy across APIs, UIs, and integrated systems.
    • What you should bring
  • 3+ years of hands-on automation experience using Playwright within Python.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the e-commerce domain.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on any ERP platform
  • Experience in API testing (Postman, RESTful services) and Agile environments (SCRUM/Kanban).
  • Familiarity with containerized testing using Docker and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Exposure to AI-based testing tools (e.g., Mabl, Testim, Functionize) is a plus.
  • A strategic, collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
