Salary range: £35,000 to £38,000 depending on experience
Type: 12 month Fixed-term contract (yearly rolling)
Purpose of the role is to:
- Provide 1st class IT Infrastructure operational support.
- Focus on and improve reliability and availability across the IT application and Infrastructure landscape.
- Deliver new technologies that enable, enhance and support the clients’ strategic objectives. Balance priorities quickly and effectively whilst managing customer expectations
- Lead by example, as a technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics
- Use a strong and broad ranging technical and customer focused background to deliver on operational and project-based tasks, against demanding Service Level Agreements and challenging deadlines.
Deliverables:
- Support and deliver technical solutions throughout all stages of the ITIL service lifecycle Exceed customer expectations whilst offering additional SME level support and guidance to fellow Infrastructure team members & management
- Ensure that all tasks adhere to defined processes, architectural principles, regulatory requirements, corporate compliance, security and industry best practice
- Develop successful relationships both within the Infrastructure team and Infosec team, extend IT support teams within the business and with 3rd parties
- Own Incidents, Escalations and request tasks from the point of being raised until a satisfactory resolution has been met and agreed by the user of business
- Identify enhancements to IT Infrastructure services, processes and procedures, and by doing so, improving quality, reliability, availability, security and performance across the IT landscape
- Champion change and drive service improvements.
- The role requires the ability to deliver and lead on both operational and project activities, against deadlines and SLAs. Thus flexibility is essential in this position.
Experience required:
- 3rd Line Infrastructure role for a minimum of 2 years
- Operational support at a senior technical level, within a medium size enterprise
- Working to recognised methodologies such as ITIL, AgilePM, Prince 2.
- Planning organizing, leading, and delivering complex, fast-moving workloads with both internal and external 3rd parties.
- Supporting junior colleagues via mentoring, training, and documentation. Microsoft Azure stack / M365
- Cloud Architecture, performance, availability monitoring and restoration Database scripting and optimization
- Scripting, orchestration, and automation techniques Capacity, performance and availability monitoring
- Security, vulnerability, and malware threat protection multi-vendor hardware build, deploy and break fix Active Directory / Group Policy management
- Change Management
- Jira ITSM or equivalent ITSM working Knowledge
- Qualification, in, or senior working experience of networking including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, VLAN or CCNA qualifications

Qualifications required:
- ITIL Foundation (v4)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent working knowledge Degree or equivalent working experience. (Technology or Science subject)
