Front End Developer - SC Cleared (3+ Month Contract)
Location: Remote, with weekly on-site visit to Croydon or Manchester hub
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

Overview
We're seeking an SC-Cleared Front End Developer to join a high-impact government project. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site collaboration (typically once per week) at either our Croydon or Manchester hub. You'll be working within an agile, cross-functional team to build intuitive, performant, and accessible user interfaces for critical digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, responsive Front End applications using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate closely with designers, Back End engineers, and product teams to deliver user-focused features.
- Implement clean, maintainable code following best practices and accessibility standards.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and architectural discussions.
- Contribute to Front End testing and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure all work aligns with security, performance, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong commercial experience with React
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (browser-based development)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Playwright or similar tools for Front End testing
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of secure development practices in government or regulated environments
