Google Workspace Migration Specialist (Go-Live Support)
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Google Workspace Specialist to provide technical support during the first week of our customers migration from Microsoft 365 to GWS. You will be the primary point of escalation for "Day 1" issues, ensuring seamless mail flow, data integrity, and user adoption.
Key Responsibilities- Hyper-Care Support: Provide Real Time troubleshooting for end-users transitioning from Outlook/OneDrive/Teams to Gmail/Drive/Meet.
- Data Validation: Assist users in locating "missing" emails, calendar invites, or files that may have been flagged or misplaced during the migration.
- Mobile & Desktop Setup: Resolve sync issues with Google Drive for Desktop and mobile device management (MDM) profiles.
- Permission Mapping: Audit and fix broken file permissions or "Shared Drive" access issues resulting from the M365 transition.
- VIP Support: Provide white-glove technical assistance to executive leadership.
Technical Requirements
- Platform Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of theGoogle Workspace Admin Console and M365 Admin Center.
- Google Workspace expertise in all Google Tools to provide meaningful answers to general 'How to' questions
- Coexistence Knowledge: Deep understanding of Dual Delivery or Split Delivery configurations.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot Outlook PST/OST issues for users still relying on local archives.
Soft Skills (The "Go-Live" Essentials)
- Patience under Pressure: Go-live week can be stressful; the ability to stay calm and empathetic with non-technical users is a must.
- Clear Communication: Ability to explain why a feature looks different in Google vs. Microsoft without using overly dense jargon.
- Adaptability: Ready to pivot from a DNS server issue to a "How do I color-code my calendar?" question in the same hour.
