Information Technology Project Coordinator

IT Project Coordinator

Location: Nottingham, on-site

Duration: 3 Months

Rate: Depending Experience (£225 - £265, Umbrella)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Agile Project Coordinator to support and deliver projects within a fast-paced PMO environment. This role will suit someone with experience in project coordination or Jnr. PM, with the ability to operate across both traditional and agile delivery models. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and driving delivery across multiple IT project workstreams, ensuring timelines, risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations are effectively managed. Depending on experience, you may take ownership of smaller projects or work under the guidance of senior project leadership on larger initiatives.

This role requires a proactive, delivery-focused mindset, with the ability to maintain momentum, remove blockers and ensure accountability across project teams.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in project coordination, project support or delivering small projects/work packages
  • Experience working in structured, agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • Ability to plan, track and manage work using project plans, backlogs or similar tools
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to provide regular updates and maintain alignment
  • Experience managing risks, issues and dependencies across a project lifecycle
  • Evidence of driving delivery outcomes, not just supporting administrative coordination
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience owning or delivering small projects end-to-end
  • Experience working within a PMO or structured governance environment
  • PRINCE2 Foundation (or equivalent project management certification)
  • Agile or hybrid certification (e.g. AgilePM, Scrum, SAFe Foundation)
  • Experience mentoring junior team members or supporting wider project teams
  • Familiarity with project tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar
  • Experience using agile tooling (e.g. Jira, Trello, Asana)
