Overview

We are seeking a hands-on AWS DevOps Engineer with active Security Clearance (SC) to support the design, delivery, and operation of secure, scalable AWS cloud environments. The role will focus on containerised platforms, automation, and reliable cloud operations in a remote working model.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure and services, including S3, ECS, EKS, and RDS.
• Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Use infrastructure as code to provision and manage cloud environments.
• Monitor performance, availability, and reliability; troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Apply cloud security, access management, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with development, platform, and security teams to support delivery.

Essential skills and experience

• Current SC clearance.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience, particularly S3, ECS, EKS, and RDS.
• Solid DevOps experience across CI/CD, automation, and cloud operations.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally Terraform.
• Strong Linux, Git, Scripting, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of secure cloud architecture and operational monitoring.

Desirable

• AWS certification.
• Experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools.
• Public-sector or regulated-environment experience.
