Senior IT Field Technician
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 + benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking to recruit a Senior IT Technician to provide IT support across multiple schools.
The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced IT team and provide first and second line support to a range of users, working across a variety of systems and technologies.
This is a field-based role involving regular scheduled visits, as well as ad hoc and emergency support when required. You will need to be comfortable travelling between different school sites and supporting users with varying levels of technical ability.
The role offers a varied workload and would suit an intelligent, enthusiastic and solutions-focused individual who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with wider IT and school teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first and second line IT support across multiple school sites
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install, configure and deploy IT hardware and software
- Provide technical support to users with varying levels of IT knowledge
- Attend scheduled, ad hoc and emergency site visits as required
- Identify and resolve issues across a range of IT systems
- Work independently to troubleshoot and find practical solutions
- Collaborate with wider IT teams and school staff
We are looking for someone who is confident working with people, technically capable and able to approach problems logically.
Ideally, you will have 1-2 years' experience in a similar IT support role, with practical experience across hardware and software installation, configuration and deployment.
You should be:

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
- Organised and able to manage a varied workload
- Enthusiastic about developing your technical skills and career
- Comfortable travelling between different sites
A full driving licence is essential, as the role involves regular travel between schools.
