IT Operations Support

Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days home)

Bristol (Almondsbury)

We are seeking an IT Operations Support Analyst to join our team in Bristol. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will act as the primary on-site IT contact, delivering high-quality face-to-face 1st and 2nd line support.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll support day-to-day IT operations, onboard new employees, and ensure the smooth running of IT systems within the Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Operations

· Provide day-to-day IT support within the Bristol office

· Deliver face-to-face 1st/2nd line support for all on-site IT issues

· Ensure support tickets are managed and resolved promptly

· Maintain and monitor the local network environment

· Track IT assets, including hardware stock and peripheral requirements

· End-User & Hardware Support

· Configure and deploy laptops and desktops for new starters and upgrades

· Support Microsoft Office (MS365) and other business applications

· Install and maintain printers and user peripherals

· Auditing, Compliance & Security

· Assist with IT and cyber security training (e.g., Cyber Awareness)

· Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures

· Support cyber security activities and simulations

· Work alongside the Cyber Security Officer on reporting and compliance

· Administer Active Directory

· Provide basic Windows Server administration (single server environment)

· Travel occasionally to other sites for support and project work (South only)

· Participate in occasional out-of-hours support when required

Essential Skills & Experience

· Proven experience in 1st/2nd line IT support within a Windows environment

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server (including Hyper-V)

· Experience supporting Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365

· Experience configuring and deploying Windows devices (including domain joining)

· Experience working within secure IT environments (e.g., Cyber Essentials Plus)

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills

· Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)

· SAP Business One administration (ideally with BEAS Manufacturing)

· ESET Protect administration

· Ubuntu/Linux administration

· Microsoft Office VBA knowledge

· Experience within ISO9000 or defence/manufacturing environments
