Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Location: South Bank, Central London

Duration: 6 Months

Day rate: £650PD - £700PD (Inside IR35)

Summary:

A high-profile organisation is urgently seeking a Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in GCP, Azure, and Data Lakes to support a major transformation programme. You’ll lead efforts to expand and unify data sources across global business units, enabling richer metrics and a centralised data view. This is a high-autonomy role with strategic influence, working closely with stakeholders and vendors to shape scalable, future-ready data solutions.

Objectives:

• Expand and standardise data sources across business and market units
• Drive enterprise-wide data capability through unified metrics and insights
• Architect scalable solutions using GCP-native tools for ETL, analytics, and ML

Responsibilities:

• Ingest, transform, and analyse data using Dataproc and Data Fusion for efficient ETL workflows
• Enable self-service analytics and embedded insights via Looker and BigQuery ML
• Support end-to-end model development and deployment using Vertex AI and Gemini

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in large, regulated environments with GCP and Azure expertise
• Strong background in Data Lakes, GraphQL, Snowflake, Synapse, and BigQuery
• Familiarity with DCAM/DMBOK frameworks and healthcare data is a plus
