Senior Data Engineer

Job Title: Senior GCP Data Engineer

Location: London (2 days per week onsite)

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000

Our client is VC-based early stage GCP Partner growing 40% YoY, and they are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a highly customer-facing, project-based role where you will work across complex transformation programmes, partnering closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

You will take full lifecycle ownership of data engineering projects, from initial data discovery through to deployment, ensuring scalable, high-quality, and governed data platforms built on Google Cloud.

Key skills:

• Experience in GCP Data Engineering - expertise in BigQuery and Airflow
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Data quality frameworks and validation techniques
• CI/CD pipeline development and solution deployment
• Exposure to AI/ML tooling (Vertex AI, LangChain, LLMs)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver full lifecycle projects: discovery, modelling, ingestion & deployment
• Build ETL pipelines and scalable data architectures on GCP
• Implement data quality, governance, and validation processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
