Senior Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer
London (Hybrid - 2 days p/w)
£100,000+ base + bonus
Our client is fast-growing seed-stage startup reinventing construction with AI. Founded 3 years ago, already up to 20 heads, with aggressive hiring plans.
They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can own systems end-to-end from backend services and data models through to infrastructure, deployment and production reliability.
This is a high-ownership role in a small, fast-moving team where you’ll help shape both the product and the engineering foundations.
What you’ll do
- Build and scale backend systems (Python, FastAPI, microservices)
- Design and maintain data models and services (PostgreSQL, graph-based workflows where appropriate)
- Own production infrastructure, deployment and reliability (AWS, CI/CD, observability)
- Build and integrate AI/LLM-powered features into real workflows
- Work closely with founders to translate product ideas into production systems
What we’re looking for
- 3-5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python (or similar)
- Proven experience owning production systems (deployment, scaling, monitoring)
- Comfortable working across backend + infrastructure
- Experience or strong interest in building AI/LLM-powered applications
- Practical experience with cloud & devops environments (AWS preferred)
