Full Stack Developer
Full Stack Software Engineer - Life Sciences | London | £80k + Travel
The Company
Our client is building software infrastructure for the life sciences industry, helping pharma and biotech companies modernise their compliance and validation workflows.
The Role
You'll embed with customers (70% UK, 30% USA), understand their validation and compliance workflows, then architect and ship production software on-site.
You're not implementing pre-defined specs. You're sitting in regulated labs and QA teams, observing how work actually happens, then building the software that solves real problems. You prototype, debug, re-architect, and ship - in customer environments.
What you'll do:
- Embed on-site with customers to understand GxP validation and compliance challenges
- Build and deploy full-stack features (TypeScript, React, Node.js) in customer environments
- Turn complex, high-stakes workflows into production-ready, compliant systems
- Surface requirements and edge cases that inform platform development
- Own outcomes end-to-end with high autonomy
What they're looking for:
- Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals (TypeScript, React, Node.js)
- Smart, hungry, intellectually curious (strong academic backgrounds valued)
- Comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and high-stakes environments
- Genuine appetite for travel and on-site work (~30% international)
- Bonus: exposure to regulated industries (pharma, biotech, aerospace, defence, medical devices)
What's on offer:
- £80k base + benefits
- High autonomy and ownership over customer outcomes
- Exposure to complex technical challenges in regulated environments
- Small, high-performing team solving hard problems
- Direct customer impact
This isn't remote work. It's for engineers who thrive in the field, learn from real-world complexity, and measure themselves by impact.
