Senior QA Automation Engineer Opportunity

Lynx Recruitment is currently working with a Consulting organisation, looking to recruit an experienced QA Automation Engineer.

Fully remote, London office

£50,000 - £60,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new API tests in Java using REST Assured and Cucumber BDD
• Assess new API features for automation inclusion
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain and expand API Postman collections
• Fix bugs, review code, and merge PRs for Java-based automation projects using Selenium, Appium, OpenCV, REST Assured, and Cucumber
• Ensure automation suite reliability across diverse environments and countries
• Manually validate failures and update scripts as needed
• Log detailed defects and issues on Jira
• Stay informed about business activities to anticipate test impact
• Collaborate within an agile team for backlog refinement, sprint planning, story development, testing, demos, and retrospectives
• Foster trustful relationships with stakeholders like product owners, developers, analysts, and operations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be degree educated within an IT or Business-related field
• Over 5 years of experience in Java development/support or Automation frameworks
• 4+ years in Automation testing using Java (Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, or API Automated testing)
• 2+ years in E-commerce projects, understanding order workflows, product catalogues, and payments
• Strong communication skills for team alignment and client interaction
• Proficient in Agile methodologies, meeting deadlines consistently
• Solid grasp of enterprise infrastructure and application components
• Familiarity with source code repositories like Git, Bitbucket, etc
