Senior Data Engineer - Remote Working

Lynx are currently working with a large IT consultancy to help them source a Data Engineer. Our client is large global Consultancy who work with enterprise clients, solving their business and technology problems using cutting edge solutions.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data platforms and pipelines. You’ll work alongside data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and building data pipelines, models, and architectures
• Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes using modern tools
• Implementing data storage solutions across relational, non-relational, and cloud platforms
• Ensuring data quality, reliability, and operational excellence
• Leading the design and delivery of new data products and pipelines
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders and technical teams
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring within delivery teams

What there looking for:

• Strong experience in data engineering roles
• Proven leadership or line management experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure; GCP beneficial)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Python development experience and familiarity with frameworks (e.g. Flask, Django)
• Experience building and orchestrating ETL pipelines (e.g. Airflow, Luigi, Argo)
• Exposure to big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka, Hadoop)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Solid understanding of data architecture and data quality best practices
