Senior Software Validation and Verification Engineer

Senior Software Validation & Verification Engineer Department: Engineering Reports to: Electronics & Software Team Leader Role Purpose Responsible for creating and running a robust software/firmware validation and verification (V&V) environment for new products. This includes testing, process improvement, and supporting best practice across the engineering team.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and test new or modified software/firmware.
  • Create and maintain effective software/firmware test processes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, and systems engineering teams.
  • Support internal and external customers with troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow quality procedures (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Provide information for internal audits as needed.
  • Perform additional engineering tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent (preferred).
  • Professional registration encouraged.
Experience Required
  • Leading and delivering software/firmware validation projects.
  • Strong software design and testing experience.
  • Experience with C, C++, C#, .NET, and LabVIEW.
  • Background in testing safety-critical software.
  • Full software lifecycle experience (design, development, testing, documentation, version control).
  • Experience with electro-mechanical products.
  • Understanding of electronics (schematic-level) is advantageous.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and passport (some travel required).
