About the Role
You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of data within a leading financial services environment — designing and delivering robust, secure, and scalable platforms that enable smarter business decisions. Working across the full data lifecycle, you’ll build high-performance data pipelines and deliver clean, reliable datasets that fuel analytics, AI, and regulatory insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and optimise data pipelines – build, test, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based solutions – leveraging technologies such as Snowflake to support enterprise analytics.
- Ensure data reliability and governance – applying best practices in security, lineage, and compliance (GDPR and financial regulations).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
- Support innovation in analytics, predictive modelling, and AI initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience with SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
- Proven track record building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Matillion, Talend, FiveTran, or Azure Data Factory.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing Snowflake data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP experience desirable).
- Solid understanding of data modelling and performance optimisation.
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or Prefect.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other visualisation tools.
- Background in financial services or other regulated environments.
