Artificial Intelligence Engineer
A fast‐growing data & AI consultancy is expanding its AI capability and hiring a senior technical leader to help clients turn AI ambition into real, production‐ready outcomes.
This role blends commercial influence, technical authority, and hands‐on engineering leadership. You’ll shape the AI engineering practice, guide clients through complex decisions, and lead the delivery of scalable AI/ML and agentic solutions across multiple sectors.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and mentoring AI engineers while defining engineering standards and best practice
- Owning technical direction across client engagements — from discovery to architecture to delivery
- Translating complex AI concepts into clear commercial value for senior stakeholders
- Supporting pre‐sales, shaping solution options, and influencing client roadmaps
- Architecting and delivering production‐grade AI systems using modern cloud platforms
- Driving adoption of emerging AI tooling: agent frameworks, vector search, orchestration, RAG patterns
- Embedding MLOps fundamentals: CI/CD, IaC, observability, model lifecycle management, responsible AI
What you’ll bring
- Strong Python engineering background
- Experience delivering AI/ML solutions into production (ideally in regulated environments)
- Hands‐on experience with cloud AI stacks (Azure AI, Databricks, SageMaker, Bedrock)
- Solid understanding of MLOps, testing, deployment, and operational reliability
- Consulting experience — able to lead workshops, shape solutions, and influence stakeholders
- Curiosity and obsession with emerging AI technologies and how they create business value
