At MCS, we are excited to bring on board two Building Services Engineering apprentices based in our Bristol office. Both selected candidates will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments, including:
- Commercial
- Estimating
- Operations
- Design
- Health and Safety
- Procurement
We are looking for one apprentice to specialise in electrical and another in mechanical. However, both apprentices will have exposure to all the mentioned departments. As an apprentice, your day-to-day tasks will be diverse, allowing you to explore various aspects of our work. Examples of activities include:
- Attending and contributing to internal and external meetings with clients.
- Understanding the fundamentals and importance of health and safety, both on and off-site.
- Working on preparing and producing engineering diagrams and documents to engineering specifications.
- Supporting on-site project teams with the delivery of M&E services.
- Collaborating with the design team, utilising systems such as CAD and BIM.
- Supporting company community and social value activities.
- Working closely with our supply chain on aspects like raising orders, design ideas, and project delivery.

Due to the nature of site travel and meetings, and location of the apprenticeship, applicants must be able to drive.
Training
- Building Service Engineering Technician Apprenticship (Level 3). This Standard aligns with the following professional recognition: Engineering Council for Engineering Technician (EngTech).
Once your apprenticeship has been completed you will have the opportunity to work within any of the departments you worked alongside as well as having the ability to undertake further training within with organisation.
