Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
- 7–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong hands-on experience in Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
- Proven experience working within the insurance industry, supporting insurance analytics, data platforms, or regulatory reporting environments.
- Strong understanding of insurance data domains, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims, and risk data.
- Strong proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
- Extensive experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies, including:
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake
- Experience working with Delta Lake architecture and modern data warehousing patterns.
- Experience with Databricks components, including:
- Delta Live Tables
- Auto Loader
- Unity Catalog
