Finance Analyst

Work closely with the Finance Director to analyse service utilisation and financial performance, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, cost savings, and improved value.

Collect, validate, and manage financial and operational data from multiple systems and departments to support decision-making.

Interpret data to provide meaningful insight—highlighting trends, risks, and drivers—rather than simply passing on raw information.

Build financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis to support strategic planning, budget setting, and business cases.

Present clear, concise financial insight to senior managers, translating complex data into plain-language recommendations.

Support benefits tracking of financial initiatives, monitoring targets, savings, and performance against budget.

Partner with service leads to challenge assumptions, ensure data accuracy, and identify opportunities for better resource utilisation.

Review financial processes and reporting approaches to improve efficiency and strengthen financial governance.

Produce regular dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership meetings, finance boards, or audit committees.

Act as a proactive analytical partner to the Finance Director—anticipating questions, digging into underlying causes, and offering solutions, not just numbers.
