Lead Delivery Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to play a key role in shaping and delivering the UK Government’s supplier engagement strategy for major and emerging technology partners. This role sits at the heart of how government builds and maintains strong, strategic relationships with leading tech firms in the UK and internationally, ensuring alignment with long-term digital transformation goals.

You will support the delivery and ongoing development of supplier strategies led by Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) teams, helping to translate strategy into action and continuously improve how government engages with its most critical technology partners.

Your work will directly support the effective purchasing and strategic investment in key technologies across the public sector, helping ensure government gets the best value, innovation, and outcomes from its supplier ecosystem.

Day to day duties:

  • Support the implementation of the supplier strategy for major technology partners and emerging suppliers, working in partnership with commercial colleagues to develop, launch, iterate and embed strategic approaches.
  • Collaborate with senior officials and cross-government stakeholders to support delivery of strategic technology initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Provide agile, responsive strategic support to meet evolving priorities, policy needs, and government demands.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of supplier engagement events that foster collaboration, alignment, and exploration of future opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Government Commercial Function and departmental colleagues to strengthen governance, risk management, and reporting against strategic priorities, including the Blueprint for Modern Digital Government.

Skills:

  • Experience working in or with complex stakeholder environments, ideally across government, digital, technology, or commercial settings.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Understanding of strategic supplier management, commercial delivery, or technology procurement (desirable).
  • Ability to operate flexibly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with confidence delivering events, engagements, and cross-government initiatives.
