Software Engineer
We are looking for a highly capable and adaptable Software Engineer to join the Software Simulation team in Stevenage!
Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Office based due to workload classification.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship .
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate exposure to practical software engineering, C / C++ software development, and will play a critical part in the design, development, integration, and verification of software solutions that are central to our system validation and delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop real-time / embedded software using C and C++.
- Architect and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable multi-threaded applications.
- Work with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration and timing alignment between software and capture cards.
- Contribute to system integration, verification, and testing at both component and system levels.
- Conduct performance analysis, debugging, and optimisation of real-time systems.
- Document architecture, interface definitions, and test procedures to support handover and formal test activities.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate exposure to practical software engineering, C / C++ software development, and will play a critical part in the design, development, integration, and verification of software solutions that are central to our system validation and delivery capabilities.
- Embedded Software development using C and C++.
- API design and development (preferably Rest).
- Configuration control (preferably using GIT).
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery or Deployment.
- Unit testing and test-driven development.
- Agile development (using Jira).
- Experience of Wireshark.
- Experience developing solutions with video recording.
- Experience developing solutions with LabVIEW suite of packages.
