A great opportunity to be part of a growing Information Systems team responsible for deploying and supporting the key Enterprise Services and Support applications.

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

As a Data Fabric Service Line Manager, you will join our IS Data Analytic team, to conduct the management of our existing two Centre Of Competencies (CoC), delivering solutions, services and value to our internal customers :

  • The Data Analytics CoC, bas on data analytics Microsoft technologies (SQI Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI etc.)
  • The Data Science CoC, based on the delivery of the DataIku data science platform.

You will be working within the Data Service Centre, a multi-competent and multi-national part of the Group MBDA Information System Department. You will oversee our Data Analytics and Data Science service lines within a secure, on-premise environment.

This role involves managing business requirements collection, coordinating integrator activities, and ensuring the structured governance of user spaces and accounts. You will act as a key interface between business stakeholders, the central Data Analytics/Data Science domain lead, and IT management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse business requirements to translate them into actionable IT initiatives.
  • Lead, monitor, and coordinate the work delivered by external integrators.
  • Define and enforce governance rules for structuring user spaces, projects, and accounts.
  • Manage solutions based on Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, Power BI for Data Analytics, and Dataiku for Data Science.
  • Ensure compliance with on-premise delivery standards and defence sector security constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with the central Data Analytics & Data Science domain leader to align with enterprise-wide strategy.
  • Provide regular reporting on project progress, service run activities, and key performance indicators to IT management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance service quality and reliability.

  • Ability to learn and quickly respond to rapidly changing business environment
  • Having strong client management skills and some experience to conduct a business request to a mature and efficient solution.
  • Is self-motivated and eager to learn and improve their own knowledge and interests for the innovative technologies in Business Intelligence.
  • Being up to date about the best practices and advancements in development and design
  • Demonstrated ability to manage third-party integrators and ensure delivery against business requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
