Business Intelligence Lead
🚀 Group BI Lead (Greenfield / Sole Contributor)
💰 Salary: £65-75K + up to 15% bonus
📍 Location: Swindon – 3 days in office / 2 days from home
A rare chance to build a Group BI function from scratch and take full ownership of BI across a multi-entity organisation.
This is a greenfield role. You’ll be the sole BI specialist at group level. There’s no people management, so your focus is on delivery, strategy, and hands-on work.
What you’ll do:
- Own the Group BI roadmap and align it with business goals
- Build on existing data lake work, integrating multiple entities
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, dashboards, and reports
- Translate business questions into actionable technical solutions
- Integrate BI with ERP, CRM, and core systems
- Manage stakeholder expectations, priorities, and ERP governance
- Champion data governance, quality, and literacy across sites
What we’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience in BI, data engineering, or data architecture
- Strong experience with Power BI or similar and dashboard design
- Knowledge of ETL, data lakes, and data pipelines (Python, DuckDB, Azure Data Lake)
- ERP integration experience
- Confident communicator with a consultative approach
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or distribution is a plus
