Solutions Expert - Infrastracture (UAE-based)

Role Purpose

The Solutions Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT solutions that enable efficient operations and maintenance across large-scale rail infrastructure. The role focuses on driving digital transformation in asset management, maintenance planning, and infrastructure monitoring, ensuring seamless integration between technology systems and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Integration

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and deployment of IT solutions supporting infrastructure and maintenance operations.
  • Translate operational and maintenance requirements into scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Ensure effective integration between enterprise systems such as ERP, EAM, GIS, SCADA, IoT, and analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to align solution design with business objectives.

Asset Maintenance & Management Systems

  • Implement and enhance Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Develop data models and workflows for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
  • Leverage analytics, IoT, and AI tools to improve asset reliability and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Support the adoption of digital twins and condition-based maintenance initiatives.

Infrastructure Systems & Operations Support

  • Manage integration of digital solutions with rail infrastructure technologies, including signaling, track, power, and facilities systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure system interoperability, data integrity, and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Provide technical oversight for solution deployment, testing, and lifecycle management.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all IT solutions comply with internal governance frameworks, cybersecurity protocols, and international standards (e.g., ISO 55000, ISO 27001, RAMS).
  • Maintain accurate solution documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify emerging technologies and best practices that enhance infrastructure performance, safety, and sustainability.
  • Drive digital maturity through process automation, analytics, and continuous optimization initiatives.
  • Support capability building and change management within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, ISO 55000) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in IT solutions or digital transformation within asset-intensive or transportation industries .
  • Proven experience with EAM/CMMS platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, SAP PM, or similar).
  • Strong background in asset maintenance, infrastructure monitoring, and system integration .
  • Prior experience in heavy rail, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of asset lifecycle management and maintenance best practices.
  • Proficiency in IT solution design, systems integration, and data analytics.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, safety, and regulatory frameworks in critical infrastructure environments.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
