Solutions Consultant

Pre-Sales / Solutions Consultant - Tax Automation
Location: London (Hybrid - 1 day/month)

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + excellent benefits

This is a rare opportunity for a qualified accountant or tax professional to join a fast-growing RegTech company that's genuinely changing the way businesses manage tax compliance and reporting.

They've built a modern platform used by some of the UK's most complex organisations to automate high-stakes processes - and with growing demand in areas like Pillar 2, they're expanding their Solutions Team to build bespoke solutions for clients and continue pushing the platform forward.

What's the Role?

You'll join a highly specialised team working at the intersection of tax, data, and technology. Led by an experienced manager with a Big 4 background, this team plays a key role in shaping how the platform evolves and how it's used by clients day-to-day.

As a Solutions Consultant, your job is to understand clients' reporting requirements, translate that into technical solutions using the platform's SQL-driven architecture, and support both pre-sales activity and live implementations.

This isn't about filling templates or writing specs - you'll get hands-on with data, collaborate closely with internal teams, and be involved in high-impact problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to gather requirements, interpret complex tax needs, and understand data structures

  • Build tailored solutions within the platform using SQL and custom configurations

  • Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure a smooth transition from concept to delivery

  • Contribute to product demos and client presentations where required

  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation (especially Pillar 2) and help shape new features/use cases internally

You'll Need

  • A recognised tax or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA - this is non-negotiable)

  • Strong practical knowledge of SQL and data manipulation

  • A deep understanding of tax or financial reporting processes

  • The ability to translate tax legislation into structured, technical requirements

  • A consultative approach - you'll be client-facing and solution-oriented

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)

  • Prior exposure to tax tech or automation platforms

  • Confident presenting to clients or internal stakeholders

What's on Offer?

  • £55,000 - £70,000

  • £125/month wellness/gym allowance

  • 25 days holiday plus 10 half-days

  • Hybrid working - only 1 core office day per month

  • Join a collaborative, low-ego team that values domain knowledge as much as technical skill

Why Join?

This is a high-impact role in a team that's central to the company's continued product and commercial growth. You'll work closely with leadership, own end-to-end solution development, and see the direct result of your work in how clients adopt and benefit from the platform.

If you're a qualified accountant or tax specialist who's ready to do something a bit different - and bring your expertise into a fast-paced, product-led environment - this is the opportunity.
