AI & Business Automation Consultant

AI & Business Automation Consultant | Belfast | Hybrid

I am looking to hire an AI & Business process consultant to take ownership of automation and AI opportunities across the business.

This is a hands-on role . They're not looking for someone who simply understands AI in theory - they want someone who can look at a business process, identify what can be improved, and actually build and implement the solution .

What will you be doing?

• Map business processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Assess whether processes should be automated and determine the best approach.
• Build automation solutions or identify the right technology to implement.
• Work across sales, finance and wider operations.
• Automate repetitive tasks to give teams more time back for revenue-generating activity.
• Develop AI-powered solutions and workflows.
• Potentially centralise and manage GPT/AI lead-generation tools.
• Help develop a company-wide "mission control" dashboard providing operational data, prompts and insights.
• Train internal team members to build and manage automation solutions.

What are we looking for?

• Hands-on experience with AI and automation .
• Someone who can build solutions , not just theorise.
• Experience identifying business problems and translating them into technical solutions.
• Strong workflow analysis and process improvement skills.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
• Technology agnostic - able to choose the right tool for the problem.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-technical teams.
• Curious, commercially minded and focused on finding better ways of working.

Technologies

Power Automate | Power Apps | Copilot Studio | Excel | SharePoint | ChatGPT

Experience with Python, UiPath or other automation platforms would also be relevant.

You don't need to have used every technology listed - the key is being able to understand the problem and work out the best way to solve it .

The Opportunity

This could suit someone early in their career who has a strong academic background in AI, potentially a Master's in AI / Machine Learning , alongside personal projects or practical experience building AI and automation solutions.

You don't necessarily need years of commercial experience. What's important is curiosity, initiative and the ability to build .

If you're someone who naturally looks at a process and thinks "there must be a better way of doing this" , enjoys experimenting with new technology and has built AI/automation projects in your own time, this could be a great opportunity to take those skills into a real business environment.

The key is being able to understand a problem, explore the options, build a solution and continuously improve it - while communicating effectively with the people using it.
