Business Development Apprentice
We are looking for a proactive and organised Business Development Executive to generate new customers through outbound prospecting while also providing day-to-day sales and administrative support to the business.
Alongside new business activity, the role will include general sales administration to help ensure the running of the sales.
Role
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Make targeted outbound cold calls to prospective business customers
- Research and identify potential customers using lead-generation sources
- Identify relevant decisionmakers and purchasing contacts
- Identify and re-engage dormant customers from the company’s historic database to generate new sales opportunities
- Qualify prospects and identify genuine purchasing opportunities
- Make appointments for sales team product specialists when required
- Follow up prospects consistently by telephone and email
- Prepare or coordinate quotations and follow them through
- Complete a structured handover of successful new accounts to the Account Manager
- Maintain accurate prospect, call and opportunity information
- Continually build and manage a strong pipeline of new prospects
Sales & General Administration:
- Assist with general sales and office administration as required
- Respond to and direct incoming telephone calls and emails
- Maintain accurate customer, prospect and contact information
- Assist with preparing quotations, documents and customer correspondence
- Update spreadsheets, reports and internal systems
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments
- Carry out data entry and maintain accurate records
- Assist the wider sales team with administrative tasks and follow-ups
Training
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Practitioner Level 4.
1-day a month in Brighton training. The remaining working on the job, applying your new skills.
Alongside your role you will complete a Level 4 AI Specialist programme learning how to use AI, automation, data and digital tools to improve campaigns, customer experiences and business processes.
