Technical Apprentice - REF 14996
Metal Solutions in Bolton are recruiting for a Technical Apprentice. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship over the duration of 18 months.
Role
Customer Service & CRM:
• Assist in handling incoming customer telephone enquiries.
• Support the Technical Team by accurately recording new customer enquiries on the CRM system.
• Use the CRM system effectively by updating enquiry progress and setting follow-up reminders.
• Process customer payments over the phone when required.
Order Processing:
• Develop industry knowledge through training and practical experience.
• Support the Technical Team with the accurate and timely processing of Sales Orders in line with company procedures.
• Process orders for project-specific samples.
• Ensure paperwork is electronically filed and shredded in a timely manner.
Production & Business Operations:
• Spend time within the workshop to gain knowledge of fabrication processes, products and operational workflows.
• Assist with maintaining the Production Plan to help ensure customer expectations are met.
• Learn to recognise potential risks to delivery schedules and report concerns to management.
• Assist with booking transport for completed orders in line with customer requirements.
General Duties:
• Complete all apprenticeship training and apply learning within the workplace.
• Provide administrative support to the wider team, including holiday cover and day-to-day operational tasks.
• Maintain a professional and positive approach when communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Support the company's continuous improvement procedures by reporting any issues.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.
