On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Senior Business Manager for a 6-month contract based in London. It is a hybrid model.

Purpose of the role: To manage Life Technology's finances, people matters, and governance processes, ensuring compliance and supporting the delivery of key business portfolios.
What you'll do:
- Provide a structured approach for team financial management of suppliers, cloud costs and people cost and lead the relationship with our finance business partners ensuring accuracy in forecasting, budget setting and budget management.
- Provide consistency in the team, managing the mechanics of key processes such as risk management, resource recharging, supplier renewals and managing variable software spend working closely with Technology COO, HR and finance business partners
- Provide simple and accurate reporting on team finances, deliveries, risks etc.
- Responsible for leading the evolution of the employee experience for the team, leading on the agenda and delivery of team engagement calls and events, and manage the action plan based on employee feedback and drive ideas to address well-being and any common problems.
- Support the Director of Life Technology in preparing for board presentations and fielding asks from both Life and Technology boards by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, building relationships and understanding their business needs, and the wider business strategy and direction.
- Drive effectiveness across the Life Technology leadership team, ensuring focus on appropriate priorities, highlighting risks and issues, and working to remove blockers and streamline management processes
The skills you'll need:
- Financial & Governance Expertise: Strong numerical skills with experience in forecasting, accruals, and financial processes.
- Stakeholder & Change Management: Experienced in complex matrix structures, managing senior stakeholders, and navigating technology delivery/transformation projects.
- Communication & People Focus: Able to articulate complex issues clearly, support team development, and address people-related matters effectively.
- Corporate Knowledge & Adaptability: Understanding of corporate structures and comfortable providing direction amid ambiguity.
