Business Analyst

MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit a Business Analyst to join them on a temporary contract based in North London.

Salary Equivalent: £47,000 Per Annum

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial insight, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Utilise advanced Microsoft Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills to develop reports, presentations, and process maps
• Take a proactive, self-starting approach to problem-solving and project delivery
• Manage competing priorities and tight deadlines, delegating tasks where appropriate
• Apply strong time management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of analysis and reporting
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail while keeping sight of the broader business objectives
• Champion continuous improvement across finance and operational functions
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including junior staff, senior leadership, and non-finance teams
• Provide clear, concise financial insights to non-financial recipients
• Demonstrate strong analytical and management skills to support strategic decision-making
• Represent the finance function across the business, acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador
• Apply strong accounting knowledge to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
• Leverage IT systems and tools to streamline reporting and analysis
• Challenge assumptions and drive improvements with a highly analytical mindset

Skills/Experience required:

• Experience working in a finance or business analysis role, ideally within housing, construction, or public sector
• Strong accounting knowledge and financial acumen
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to see the "bigger picture"
• Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
• Strong IT skills and ability to adapt to new technologies
