CRM & Systems Analyst
CRM & Systems Analyst
For more than three decades, MNI has provided essential intelligence that informs and empowers the world’s professional investors, economists, and central bankers. Known as the gold standard in macroeconomic news, our strength lies in providing exclusive primary information and insight from policymakers and officials worldwide. The group operates across the UK, United States, China, and Continental Europe and is owned by Tenzing Private Equity group. We have grown by 30% in each of the last five years and have plans to continue this growth for the next five. To support the next stage of our growth, we’re investing in a CRM & Systems Analyst.
This is the first hire under our new Business Analytics and Systems team. You’ll have a foundational role in building, maintaining, and scaling systems that will be resilient and continue to prove value for the future. You’ll become the subject matter expert on our CRM environment: able to reason effectively about our system of record, data model, and how the business operates within it. You’ll own the operational integrity of Salesforce: configuration, automation, and user enablement. And you’ll act as the bridge between business users and the technical implementation of their requirements.
The role:
- System configuration and customisation — objects, fields, Flows, validation rules, page layouts, and permissions. Extending the Salesforce environment to scale and to satisfy evolving business requirements
- Process automation — designing and building automated workflows that enforce consistent patterns of behaviour across Sales, Ops, and Finance. Minimising manual processes, while keeping human-in-the-loop where necessary
- Requirements gathering and user enablement — working directly with CRM users to understand pain points, translate business needs into scalable implementations, and support adoption
- Data quality and model stewardship — contributing to the integrity and evolution of our Salesforce data model, including deduplication, validation, and documentation
- Third-party tool administration — managing integrations and AppExchange tools that extend Salesforce, including document generation and data sync platforms
- Cross-functional collaboration — working closely with Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, and Marketing to ensure the CRM supports their workflows
What you’ll work on
Examples of active projects from our current backlog:
- Custom Lightning Web Components for sales reps — pipeline trackers, renewals dashboards, and risk management tools that combine spreadsheet flexibility with the ability to manage workflows directly from the interface
- Pipeline and deal process automation — implementing structured qualification frameworks (e.g. MEDDIC) and guided workflows that enforce stage-gate requirements, documentation, and approval steps as opportunities progress and are handed to sales ops
- SDR Touchpoints app — replacing a manual Google Sheets tracking system with a native Salesforce application, with proper validations, structured data capture, and guardrails
- Opportunity processing workflows — building Flows that guide Ops through new business, cancellation, add-on, and user swap processes with validation at each stage
- Lead management improvements — account-level product classification, contact relevance scoring, and systems for managing outreach timing and lead qualification
- Gmail-to-Salesforce activity logging — evaluating and implementing tools so reps can log emails directly from Gmail without manual entry
Who we’re looking for:
Skills and experience
- Around 1–2 years of experience in a CRM Admin, GTM Engineer/Developer, RevOps, or similar role
- Solid understanding of Salesforce declarative tools: Flow Builder, validation rules, permission sets, page layouts, reports and dashboards
- Able to reason about complex data models: understands object relationships and can think through how a change in one place affects another
- Strong listening skills: can sit with a Sales rep or Finance user, understand their business problem deeply, and translate that into a workable set of requirements and solution
- Clear written and verbal communication: can document what they’ve built and explain it to non-technical users
- Comfortable with ambiguity: can take a loosely defined problem and structure an approach
Nice to have: experience with Lightning Web Components, Apex, SOQL, or other low-code development tools.
How you think and work:
Beyond technical skills, we’re looking for someone who approaches their work in terms of:
- Automation-first thinking — you instinctively look for where manual processes can be systematised. You believe in automated workflows over relying on humans to always remember and execute with 100% accuracy
- Systems reasoning — you think about any given change to a component in terms of how it affects the whole system, with regard to downstream impacts and overall performance
- Builder’s mindset — you start by clearly understanding and defining the business problem before considering solutions. You favour solutions which are simple, elegant, and coherent, while solving the problem at hand
- Human-in-the-loop awareness — you understand the limits of automation and know where to insert human inputs, decision-making, and oversight
- Ownership — you view the CRM as your product to manage, maintain, and improve. You proactively define problems and propose solutions instead of waiting for direction
- Curiosity about AI and LLMs — you think deeply about how AI tooling can augment your workflows, and you actively explore ways to use AI and LLMs as a force multiplier for your work
What we offer:
- Salary of £40,000–£45,000, depending on experience
- Real ownership from the outset — as the first systems hire, you’ll modernise legacy systems and build for the future
- A real backlog, not an empty brief — we’ve already mapped the projects, gathered user requirements, and prioritised the roadmap. You’ll start with meaningful work from week one
- Direct impact — the value of your automations and improvements is felt immediately across Sales, Sales Ops, and Finance. Your work directly enables us to distribute and sell high-signal financial intelligence to leading financial institutions
- Growth trajectory — this role is the foundation of a new team. As MNI grows, so does the scope and seniority of this position. We’ll provide you with resources for guidance and training as you grow with us
- Support structure — you’ll report to a technically literate manager who can review solution designs, help you think through tradeoffs, and provide context on business priorities.
- Hybrid working — London-based with flexibility
- Competitive salary and benefits package
