Manager/Assistant Director/Director - Transaction Advisory - Manchester

I am supporting a well known and repected advisory firm in Manchester, who are seeking a Transactions Manager/Associate Director or Director to join their existing Transactions team that has scaled at paced in the last year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a can do attitude to join a professional and friendly team and to be disrupters in the Transactions (FDD) space in Manchester.

The successful candidate will

Lead the day-to-day on S&T buy-side and sell-side transactions by managing a team, preparing analyses, drafting reports and sharing findings with Strategy & transaction clients

• Work closely with our Managing Directors to articulate deal issues
• Develop a rapport with clients and prepare client specific analyses enabling evaluation of potential transactions in the context of a clients’ investment strategy
• Gain broad exposure across Strategy and Transactions, working with a variety of large-cap and mid-cap private equity houses on platform acquisitions, working with portfolio companies for bolt-on acquisitions and other projects.
• Work as one EMEA software team collaborating with colleagues across Europe on Strategy and transactions in both the UK and EMEA
• Expand the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills and gain insight on key drivers and valuation considerations that drive a transaction
• Help develop junior colleagues while befitting from established formal and informal training programme and mentorship

Qualifications

• Detail oriented day-to-day lead working primarily on software, data or other recurring revenue businesses. Candidate must have strong Excel skills to prepare software specific analyses
• ‘Can do’ attitude to do what it takes to get the job done
• Qualified accountant and/or an exceptional academic record
• Proven senior level experience in Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence is essential in addition to experience across Software & Technology / TMT (NOT Financial services)
• Trained at a Big 4 firm or an established Transaction Advisory (Transaction Services) practice
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
