Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Location - Remote

Salary - £50k - £55k

We’re partnering with a global leader in eCommerce automation, as they continue to scale their engineering teams with the addition of a Senior Software Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable engineer who enjoys solving technically challenging problems, delivering complex work and helping elevate the team around them. You’ll play a key role in building scalable software solutions used by global businesses selling across platforms including Amazon, eBay and Facebook Marketplace.

If you’re passionate about clean architecture, maintainable systems, technical quality and mentoring others through collaboration and example, this role offers genuine impact within a fast-moving SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with Engineering, QA and Product teams, you’ll contribute to the delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions while helping maintain strong technical standards across the team.

• Design and implement complex software features and improvements

• Take ownership of technically significant or high-risk work

• Ensure solutions are maintainable, testable and well understood

• Help diagnose and resolve complex production issues

• Contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions

• Support and mentor junior and mid-level engineers

• Work collaboratively with QA to ensure confidence in delivered changes

• Engage constructively with Product and stakeholders to balance pragmatism with long-term thinking

• Identify technical risks early and contribute to improving delivery quality and resilience

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Software Engineer within a production SaaS environment

• Proven ability delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions

• Strong understanding of testing, performance and maintainability

• Ability to mentor others and influence through technical leadership

• Sound technical judgement and problem-solving skills under pressure

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
