About the Role
As a Solution Architect – Retail, you will design and implement strategic technology solutions that power international retail operations. You’ll work at the intersection of business and technology, optimising retail planning, enhancing product visibility, and ensuring seamless integration across systems to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global retail technology strategies aligned with business objectives
- Architect scalable, secure, and interoperable retail technology solutions
- Optimise infrastructure across networks, servers, and databases
- Lead retail data and analytics initiatives to drive actionable insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (merchandising, marketing, finance, operations)
- Stay ahead of retail technology trends and drive innovation
- Ensure compliance with security and data regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
- Provide technical leadership and mentor IT teams
- Partner with leading vendors (e.g., BlueYonder, SAP, o9 Solutions, Oracle)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale system integrations (supply chain, ERP, retail systems such as SAP)
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data quality, and high-volume integrations
- Ability to lead technical design discussions and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience working in complex, multi-vendor environments
Desirable Skills
- Retail industry experience
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements
- Knowledge of integration patterns and architectural styles (Microservices, SOA, Event-Driven, REST, etc.)
- Experience with platforms supporting Buyers and Merchandisers
