About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Junior Cloud Engineer (Azure) to join a leading Security consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, automating and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

Working closely with software developers and engineering teams, you'll build and optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and help deliver high-quality applications quickly and securely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Develop scripts and automation to improve deployment and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, release and deployment processes.
  • Monitor, maintain and optimise cloud environments for performance, availability and security.
  • Apply DevOps best practices to improve reliability, scalability and resilience.
  • Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and application issues.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • 1-4 years' experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking and security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights or similar monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and security automation.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
