We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join a dynamic and fast-moving commercial team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering insightful analysis, supporting forecasting activities, and helping shape strategic decisions that keep the business competitive.
Working with a range of data sources, you’ll generate meaningful insights to drive efficiency, optimise performance, and support growth. You’ll also partner closely with finance teams, providing commercial MI to inform planning and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate revenue performance and identify opportunities to enhance income through detailed analysis and forecasting
- Analyse business activity data (including new demand, repeat business, and competitor trends) to produce actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- Support pricing strategy through revenue analysis, ensuring optimal use of inventory and identifying new market opportunities
- Provide insight into wider market conditions, including economic and external factors impacting demand
- Review business plans, highlight performance gaps, and contribute to strategies that maximise capacity and revenue delivery
- Track competitor activity and provide recommendations to support informed commercial decision-making
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a commercial or analytical role, with the ability to turn data into clear business insights
- Strong analytical skills, with experience working with large and complex datasets and applying forecasting techniques
- Confident presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and engaging way
- Ability to interpret key business metrics and market trends to support data-driven decisions
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing demands
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience with at least one BI tool (Power BI preferred)
Desirable
- Experience in forecasting, revenue management, or similar analytical environments
- A relevant degree or qualification (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Business or similar)
- Exposure to revenue management or forecasting systems
