IT Support Analyst
Permanent | On-site | 3 x 12-hour shifts – Friday, Saturday & Sunday | Alternating day and evening shifts
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international supply chain and distribution business supporting a busy 24/7 operation.
We are looking for an IT Support Analyst to provide hands-on IT and infrastructure support across the business while also helping to develop and maintain the company's data reporting and systems integration capabilities.
This is a varied role combining day-to-day IT support, infrastructure, data reporting and systems integration. It would suit someone who enjoys solving technical problems and supporting users in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line IT support to users across a 24/7 supply chain operation.
- Provide general IT infrastructure support across desktops, servers, networks, hardware, software and associated systems.
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot IT systems and infrastructure to help ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
- Install, configure and support IT equipment, applications and user access.
- Develop, maintain and enhance business reports and data analysis using SQL and SSRS.
- Support EDI systems and data integration with customers and third-party systems.
- Assist with system testing, upgrades, infrastructure changes and wider IT projects.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology, systems and reporting.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an IT Support, IT Analyst or similar technical support role.
- Strong SQL and database interrogation skills.
- Experience developing reports and analysing business data.
- Knowledge of SSRS, VB.NET, EDI and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be advantageous.
- Good general knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, software and networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
