Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

We’re recruiting for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join an organisation that is genuinely investing in its data capability, modern technology stack and long-term analytics strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, influence decision making across the business and help drive the transition into a Microsoft Fabric environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong technical BI expertise with commercial thinking. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality Power BI solutions, developing scalable semantic models and transforming complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insight for stakeholders across the organisation.
The position offers a high level of visibility within the business and the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders to improve reporting, analytics and self-service BI capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Develop scalable semantic models using best practice data modelling techniques
- Create advanced DAX measures and calculations
- Work with SQL and modern Microsoft data technologies
- Support the business as it continues its transition into a Microsoft Fabric environment
- Deliver insight-led reporting that supports strategic and operational decision making
- Drive best practice across reporting, visualisation and BI development
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards and semantic models
- Advanced DAX and solid SQL capability
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud analytics platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business insight
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 dependent on level of experience + benefits (including profit-related pay, competitive pension scheme, life insurance and flexible working)
Location: Hybrid working (2 onsite days per week - Birmingham HQ)
