We're working with a fast-paced, friendly IT solutions business to find an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their close-knit team.

This is a technical, varied role supporting SMEs across the UK and internationally on IT and telecoms solutions. If you're someone who takes pride in a first-time fix, enjoys working across a diverse client base, and wants to keep developing your skills in a supportive environment — this is worth a look.

What you'll be doing:

→ Providing technical support via phone and ticketing system across a diverse SME client base

→ Leading small to medium projects from start to finish

→ Implementing complex resolutions within SLA — zero-trust and least privilege at the forefront

→ Monitoring, triaging and responding to security alerts using Microsoft Sentinel and the M365 Defender suite

→ Supporting Cyber Essentials+ compliance — evidence collection, remediation tracking and controls implementation

→ Managing patch compliance across endpoints and servers and driving remediation to agreed targets

→ Supporting Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning including backup/restore testing and documentation

→ Working with senior engineers to identify recurring incidents and implement long-term fixes

→ Supporting change management aligned to ITIL best practice

Technologies you'll need experience with:

→ Microsoft 365 — Admin, Security, Compliance, Exchange and GDAP

→ Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) and incident triage/response

→ Microsoft 365 Defender — Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365

→ Microsoft Entra & Intune — Conditional Access, LAPS, Configuration Policies

→ Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

→ Hyper-V and failover clustering

→ SAN/NAS — iSCSI, LUN, MPIO

→ Networking — Security, Switching, L3, Firewalls, IPsec, SSL

→ Patch management and compliance tooling for endpoints and servers

→ Backup and DR/BCP — restore validation, DR testing, documentation

→ MDT / WDS

→ Awareness of Cyber Essentials+ requirements and practical controls

What we're looking for:

→ Solid hands-on experience resolving IT problems across a range of environments

→ Strong attention to detail — someone who gets it right first time

→ Self-motivated and proactive — training is available but self-learning is essential

→ Microsoft qualifications are beneficial but not required

→ Full UK driving licence (clean) and own vehicle — essential

What's on offer:

→ Yearly bonus

→ 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

→ Casual dress, company events, pension

→ Free on-site parking

→ Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 5:00pm (38.75 hours per week)
