The Opportunity
A growing technology provider is looking to hire an Internal Account Manager to support the development of its existing customer base across IT services, cybersecurity, telecoms, and workplace solutions.
This is a commercially focused account management role with real ownership — ideal for someone with experience in B2B tech sales who wants to move beyond reactive account handling and take a more proactive, revenue-driven approach.
You’ll take ownership of a defined portfolio of existing customers, with responsibility for building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving growth through upsell and cross-sell activity.
While the focus is on account development, there is also scope to support new business activity where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing B2B customer accounts
- Build strong relationships and become a trusted point of contact
- Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities across IT, telecoms, and cybersecurity
- Proactively engage customers through structured account management
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from identification to close
- Drive revenue growth across your account base
- Support new business activity where required
- Prepare proposals and collaborate on more complex opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline visibility
- Continue developing commercial and technical knowledge

About You
This role is suited to someone already working in B2B technology sales (IT services, telecoms, MSP, or similar) who is looking for more ownership and earning potential.
You will likely:
- Have experience managing or selling into existing accounts
- Be confident identifying and developing opportunities within a customer base
- Be comfortable managing your own pipeline and closing deals
- Be motivated by performance and commission
- Be looking to move beyond a purely reactive internal sales role
- Be confident discussing technology solutions with business customers
- Value autonomy, with support available when needed
This is not a customer service or order processing role and is not suitable for entry-level candidates.
