Labour Hire are looking for an ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN for a well-established business based in BIRMINGHAMThis is a full-time, permanent position with NO agency probation period.

About You:

Fully qualified to BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsKnowledge of BS 7909 (Temporary Electrical Systems for Events)Minimum 35 years experience in a venue, theatre, arena or live events environmentStrong technical background in lighting, sound or audio visual systemsConfident leading technical discussions and liaising with multiple departmentsComfortable working at height and undertaking high hazard activitiesComputer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD Viewer)Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsExperience working anti-social hours in fast-paced, pressurised environmentsProactive, safety-conscious and committed to continuous developmentAbout the Role: Install, maintain, inspect and test temporary electrical mains supply systems for exhibitions, events and live productionsEnsure full compliance with BS 7671, IEE Wiring Regulations and BS 7909Act as a key point of contact for mains, lighting, sound and AV services across eventsOversee event production connections to mains in line with H&S and legislative requirementsCarry out maintenance and inspection programmes for temporary electrical installationsWork on high hazard tasks including working at height, plant operation and lifting activitiesLead projects relating to lighting, sound and audio visual systemsComplete and review Safe Systems of Work and Risk AssessmentsDeputise for senior electrical management when requiredSupport continuous improvement of venue services and technical standardsThis is a high hazard role and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing in line with company policy.
