- We are working with a well established UK organisation to recruit an Azure Integration Developer into its IT team.
- This is a hands on software development role focused on designing, developing and supporting integrations using Microsoft Azure integration services.
- The core of the role is Azure integration development, working across Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps and API Management, alongside .NET, C# and SQL. You will be responsible for building reliable, secure and scalable integrations that connect systems and support key business processes.
The Role
You will work across the full development lifecycle, taking business requirements and turning them into effective technical solutions. You will work closely with developers, technical teams and business stakeholders to design, build, test and support integrations across the Azure environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing integration solutions using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps and API Management
- Developing applications, services and integration components using .NET and C#
- Building and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Developing solutions using asynchronous messaging, queues, topics, pub/sub, retries and dead letter handling
- Working with SQL Server and Azure SQL, including T SQL, stored procedures, functions and database design
- Applying appropriate cloud and integration design patterns to deliver robust and scalable solutions
- Working with microservices and event driven architecture
- Designing secure APIs with appropriate authentication and authorisation
- Translating business requirements into clear technical specifications and solution designs
- Contributing to technical design reviews, development estimates and Agile planning
- Producing clear technical documentation
- Reviewing code and sharing knowledge with other developers
- Supporting integrations and applications in production, resolving issues and delivering ongoing improvements
- Working closely with technical and non technical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
Essential Experience:
The most important requirement for this role is strong hands on experience developing integrations using Microsoft Azure integration services.
You will need:
- Commercial experience developing Azure integration solutions
- Strong hands on experience with Azure Service Bus
- Strong hands on experience with Azure Logic Apps
- Experience with Azure Event Grid
- Experience with Azure API Management
- Strong .NET and C# development experience
- Strong experience working with SQL Server or Azure SQL
- Good knowledge of T SQL, stored procedures, functions and database design
- Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, authorisation and API security
- Experience with asynchronous messaging, queues, topics, pub/sub, retries and dead letter handling
- Good understanding of microservices and cloud integration patterns
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of secure coding and development standards
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with the following would be advantageous:
- Azure Data Factory
- SSIS and SSRS
- XML, XSD, XSLT and JSON
- Bicep
- Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, private DNS and NSGs
- BizTalk integrations
- Event driven architecture
- Azure DevOps for development workflow and source control

- You will be comfortable working across Azure, .NET, C#, APIs and SQL, with the ability to take a business requirement and turn it into a well designed technical solution.
- You will also be comfortable working collaboratively, communicating technical concepts clearly and taking ownership of your work from initial design through to development, implementation and ongoing support.
