The Role Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is a broad and commercially focused Finance Business Partner position. You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts cycle, maintain balance sheet integrity, and act as a trusted adviser to non-finance stakeholders across the business. This is not a back-office reporting role — you will be expected to challenge, influence, and add genuine commercial value. Key Responsibilities
- Owning the end-to-end month-end close process, producing timely accounts with meaningful narrative
- Taking accountability for the integrity of the balance sheet and the underlying reconciliation process
- Playing a central role in the annual budget cycle and rolling forecast activity
- Building financial models and scenario analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions
- Developing strong working relationships with senior stakeholders outside of finance, translating numbers into clear commercial insight
- Identifying and implementing improvements to financial reporting and control frameworks
- Managing the year-end process and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant — CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
- Proven experience in a management accounts or finance business partnering role
- Confident working with non-finance stakeholders and translating data into clear insight
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret financial models
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting in a commercially active environment
- Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities to deadline
- People management or mentoring experience is an advantage
