The Role Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is a broad and commercially focused Finance Business Partner position. You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts cycle, maintain balance sheet integrity, and act as a trusted adviser to non-finance stakeholders across the business. This is not a back-office reporting role — you will be expected to challenge, influence, and add genuine commercial value. Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the end-to-end month-end close process, producing timely accounts with meaningful narrative
  • Taking accountability for the integrity of the balance sheet and the underlying reconciliation process
  • Playing a central role in the annual budget cycle and rolling forecast activity
  • Building financial models and scenario analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Developing strong working relationships with senior stakeholders outside of finance, translating numbers into clear commercial insight
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to financial reporting and control frameworks
  • Managing the year-end process and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant — CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Proven experience in a management accounts or finance business partnering role
  • Confident working with non-finance stakeholders and translating data into clear insight
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret financial models
  • Experience of budgeting and forecasting in a commercially active environment
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities to deadline
  • People management or mentoring experience is an advantage
