We're partnering with a large scale organisation seeking a Group IT Auditor to join its Group Audit function. This is a high-visibility role offering exposure across enterprise-wide IT, operational and regulatory environments, with regular engagement with senior stakeholders.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Group Audit, you will support the delivery of a risk-based IT audit plan across the business. You'll lead audits end-to-end, assess technology risks, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering risk-based IT internal audits
- Reviewing and assessing IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls
- Identifying control weaknesses and evaluating risk exposure
- Producing clear, high-quality audit reports with actionable recommendations
- Supporting annual assurance reviews aligned to recognised frameworks
- Building strong working relationships with IT and business stakeholders
- Tracking remediation actions and driving continuous improvement
- Providing IT assurance on major business and technology change programmes
- This role offers broad exposure across IT governance, security and infrastructure in a sizeable, multi-site environment.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Experience delivering IT internal audits, including ITGCs and application controls
- Strong report-writing skills and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly in person to stake holders at all levels within an organisation.
- Confidence working with and influencing senior stakeholders
- A delivery-focused mindset with strong organisational skills
- A proactive, resilient and collaborative approach
Desirable:
- Previous hands on knowledge of IT security and infrastructure
- Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and COBIT
- Experience providing assurance over major transformation programmes
- Working towards or holding a relevant qualification such as; Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
