About the Company Our client is a leading provider of enterprise income and expenditure software serving the financial services sector. They deliver automated, data-driven platforms that support major banks in replacing manual and operator-led processes with secure, scalable solutions, enabling modernisation across affordability, collections, and lending decisions.

As part of an accelerated growth strategy, they are seeking a senior sales leader to drive high-value engagements with a mix of Tier 1 banking institutions (mostly warm contacts) and other financial institutions and shape long-term transformation partnerships.

The Role Reporting into the executive leadership team, the Head of Sales/Sales Director will lead strategic sales activities targeting major UK banks and large financial institutions. This is a highly commercial, client-facing position requiring the ability to engage at C-suite level, articulate the value of advanced automation and data solutions, and close complex, long-cycle opportunities. A strong understanding of enterprise technology environments will be vital for credibility with both commercial and technical stakeholders. The role is based in the East Midlands, with the majority of time spent meeting clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive new business sales into major UK banking institutions
  • Build and manage senior stakeholder relationships (C-suite and executive sponsors)
  • Lead complex consultative sales cycles for cloud, data and automation platforms
  • Articulate the value of replacing legacy manual processes with automated solutions
  • Collaborate with product, technical and delivery teams to refine propositions
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans and long-term pipelines
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close multi-year high-value agreements
  • Represent the company at industry events and executive briefings

Candidate Profile

  • Ability to c redibly sell technology into regulated banking/financial services environments is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of selling enterprise software or platforms into UK banks.
  • Demonstrable experience contributing to EBITDA growth - ideally influencing c.£10m+ annually.
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to create and articulate "hope value" to investors and stakeholders, aligning long-term revenue opportunity with business strategy
  • Strong ability to navigate complex procurement environments and secure buy-in from true decision-makers
  • Comfortable engaging with both IT and operations/collections stakeholders - ideally with a background that enables you to translate between product value and functional benefit
  • Experience closing complex, high-value deals with long sales cycles
  • Able to confidently influence strategic decisions with senior stakeholders
  • Autonomous operator, highly accountable, and motivated by results
  • Willing to spend the majority of time in client-facing activity, with regular office-based collaboration
  • Willing to travel extensively and work client-facing
