Product Owner - Data - Birmingham (1 day per week)

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner - Data to join our Digital team in Birmingham.

You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery, leveraging your expertise in data analytics, cloud warehousing, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a critical role in developing our Snowflake environment, ensuring accurate and timely data is delivered to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and evaluate business requirements from stakeholders

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, ERDs, and user stories

  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams

  • Perform data discovery, modelling, and process optimisation

  • Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions

  • Support testing and validation of solutions (including UAT)

  • Create mock reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate insights

  • Prepare detailed documentation covering requirements, processes, and solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years' experience in technical/data projects

  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to interpret complex information

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and workflow/requirement tools - DevOps

  • Understanding of business operations, financial modelling, and process mapping

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Prior experience with Snowflake preferred

  • Background in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
