The Opportunity
We are recruiting Transactional Finance Transformation Specialists to support the testing and launch phase of a major Oracle ERP programme within a large, multi-site retail organisation.
This is not a BAU management role.This is not end-to-end ERP implementation.
This is a hands-on, finance-led testing contract focused on UAT, validation and go-live readiness across high-volume transactional finance processes.
The Role
You will sit within Operational Finance, working alongside senior finance stakeholders and the project team to ensure the new ERP system accurately reflects real-world transactional activity before launch.
Your focus will be validating end-to-end operational finance processes including:
- Sales & revenue (store and online)
- Stock & inventory movements
- Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll integrations
- Payment processing
- Full ledger and P&L impact
You will:
- Execute and challenge finance UAT scripts
- Validate journal postings and reconciliations
- Confirm accurate debit/credit flow
- Stress-test real-life transactional scenarios
- Identify financial control gaps
- Work with the project team to resolve defects
- Retest system fixes prior to go-live
This role requires strong financial understanding alongside systems testing exposure.
We Are Looking For
We are targeting experienced transactional finance professionals who can demonstrate:
- ERP transformation exposure (Oracle highly desirable)
- Direct involvement in finance testing or UAT
- Strong operational finance background
- Experience within large, high-volume, multi-site environments
- Clear understanding of how transactional processes feed the ledger
- Strong reconciliation expertise
- Advanced Excel (Power Pivot essential)
- SQL experience desirable
- Financial control awareness and risk identification
Ideal backgrounds may include:
- Transactional Finance Project Specialists
- AP / AR / P2P / OTC professionals with ERP exposure
- Shared Services transformation contributors
- Finance Operations professionals involved in system launches
The Environment
This is a challenging and demanding role within a deadline-driven ERP launch phase.
You will be expected to:
- Operate at pace
- Manage competing priorities
- Challenge stakeholders where required
- Maintain financial integrity under pressure
- Commit fully during critical testing windows
This is not a passive support position - it requires accountability, resilience, and strong operational judgement.
